Elite Software Automation Scales
Hiring Using Automation
With 1500 applicants per month, this management and IT consultancy needed a faster way to pre-screen them. See how they automated the process using TestDome.
How to Hire People
Who Can Deliver
Running a Management and IT consultancy means Mykola Bashlakov is always on the hunt for exceptional talent.
"My business is to transform other people's businesses. It requires extremely intelligent and straight-thinking people, who make up less than .5% of the workforce. Most people who work in consulting are good at presenting and selling themselves but completely suck at delivering."
The Challenge: Scaling Hiring
To find people who can deliver, Mykola needs to rigorously screen applicants. In the early days of running Elite Software Automation he did all this work manually. He quickly realized that he was his own biggest roadblock to scaling up hiring.
"I was looking at people's resumes and pre-screening based on them, which was very unreliable and ineffective. I was also limited to a max of 10 candidates per day due to obvious time constraints."
The Solution: Automate
the Pre-Screening Process
To speed up his hiring process, Mykola created a pre-screening test in TestDome for each open position. When people apply for a job, they fill out an application form and are then directed to a TestDome test.
Instead of manually reviewing all candidates, Mykola only reviews those who pass the TestDome test — about 5% of applicants.
"With TestDome I am now able to pre-screen as many candidates as I want. I usually have 20-150 candidates per day (including weekends) pre-screen themselves via TestDome, while I personally spend very little time running the hiring process," said Mykola.
TestDome is really useful as it allows hiring managers and small business owners like me to run a massive hiring operation effectively, with very minimal resources.
The Results: Fast Hiring Without
An HR Department
With TestDome, Mykola can screen 1,500 candidates a month by himself— eliminating the need for an HR team.
Mykola says "the value of TestDome has far exceeded the cost." He estimates that while he has spent more than $50,000 on TestDome this year, hiring a small HR team would have cost him as much as $500,000. "TestDome is really useful as it allows hiring managers and small business owners like me to run a massive hiring operation effectively, with very minimal resources."
